ARCHITECTURAL COLLECTION
ARCHITECTURAL COLLECTION
Prudential California realty, a leading real estate brokerage firm headquartered in San Diego, California has announced the formation of its Architectural Collection specializing in Architectural Masterpieces, Luxury Residences and Waterfront Homes. Launching in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego and Santa Barbara counties, the division will eventually expand into other areas located throughout Southern California.
Stephen R. Sutherland, architecture and design executive and a principal partner of SJI Concepts, a design and planning firm located in Newport Beach, California will serve as President/CEO of the division. Based in Prudential’s Newport Beach office, Sutherland will be responsible for selecting properties into the collection as well as education and training the division’s agents.
Prior to joining Prudential California Realty, Sutherland established the new property investment division of Capital Suisse Europe. In addition to spearheading the property investment division, Sutherland designed the new banking headquarters for Capital Suisse in the United States and Spain as well as the company’s private banking headquarters located on the Rock of Gibraltar.
Over the years, Sutherland has designed and overseen the development of numerous luxury living spaces as well as the design of some of the world’s finest hotels and resorts. Most recently, Sutherland designed the Costa del Sol Resort and Country Club in Casares, Spain, located on the Mediterranean Sea. Sutherland served as the vice-chairman of the Economic Development Committee for the Newport Beach City Council for 12 years and in 2001 he received the California Businessman of the Year Award.
The architectural Collection was created to assist both buyers and sellers of luxurious homes and estates. Buyers can view properties throughout Southern California in one central location, privately and at their convenience, by visiting the division’s special website (www.ArchitecturalCollection.com). Sellers can showcase their properties, along with the confidence that their agent is knowledgeable and able to address questions from discerning, potential buyers.
The agents chosen to participate in the Architectural Collection Division are not only some of the firm’s top producers, but also specialists in their particular region/area. Each agent must complete extensive training and participate in on-going educational courses developed by Sutherland and Peter Zellner, A Harvard-educated professor of architecture. In addition, participating agents will regularly meet with architects, historians, land for planners and interior designers as part of their continuing education.
Southern California is recognized as a Mecca for great design. With our internationally diverse culture, fine arts and exceptional lifestyle, the area has become a global favorite location.
